لغة الزغاوة:-
هي اللغة الأم لقبيلة الزغاوة وهي جماعة عرقية أفريقية تعيش في المنطقة بين شرق تشاد وغرب السودان ، بما في ذلك إقليم دارفور السوداني. ولغة شعب الزغاوة ، انتشرت بعد ذالك في نطاق واسع عالميا نسبة لهجرة أبناء من بني الزغاوة حول العالم.
تعتبر لغة الزغاوة من مجموعة اللغات النيلية الصحراوية وتنحدر من عائلة لغات الصحراء المنتمية إلى الفصيلة الحامية التي ، ويطلق عليها (بيريا، بيرا)

تنقسم الزغاوة الي أربعة فروع رئيسية وهي
1_ كوبا أو كوبارا ( Coba)
2_ توبا (tuba)
3_. وقي ( Wagi)
و تختلف هذة الهجات اختلافا طفيفا في طريقة نطق الكلمات من منطقة إلى أخرى.
حروف لغة (البيريا) :
تتكون من ٢٤ حرف تسمى (اربيه) مأخوذ من وشم ابل الزغاوة وهذه الحروف هي:-

This language was developed in cooperation with (SIL International) and designed a special keyboard for Android devices and books to teach this generation of Zaghawa
The Zaghawa language is divided into four main dialects
